Overview

Tararua District Council is seeking proposals from suitably qualified suppliers for the provision of security services, including alarm activation call outs and after-hours support for animal control and noise complaints.

The services will cover the Tararua region. The successful supplier(s) will be expected to:

 Provide security checks and respond promptly to alarm activations across council managed properties, sites, and facilities.
 Operate within a service level and agreed response times and KPIS.
 Provide after-hours support for the animal shelter and animal control incidents.
 Respond to noise complaints outside standard business hours.
 Provide rostered staff including coverage for public holidays, statutory days and surge support where required.
 Liaise with council staff, officers, law enforcement and the public as required.
 Maintain accurate records and travel logs for all callouts, activations, response times and actions taken.

Suppliers will be asked to demonstrate relevant industry experience in security and after-hours response services, with the capability and capacity to cover the Tararua region reliably.

Compliance is needed with all relevant legislation, including health and safety obligations including lone and remote work procedures. Suppliers must have adequate insurances and licensing as required including vetting for all security staff on roster.
