The Tairāwhiti District Health Board (DHB) is looking to demolish and rebuild the acute inpatient mental health and addictions facility on its Gisborne Hospital site.

Stage 2 of the project has commenced: detailed design, with completion set for 30 November 2021.

Stage 3: Construction procurement (the opportunity) is expected to commence in December 2021 with an estimated construction start date of March 2022. It is expected construction will take 15 months to complete, therefore advanced planning for this project is critical.
