Overview
The proposed work is to create four new 60 minute fire separations across corridors within the CSB to limit the potential spread of smoke and fire throughout the building, either between wards / clinical areas, or along long corridors. The works create a number of new fire cells, limiting the number of people likely to be affected in the event of a fire. They also subdivide long corridors, reducing the risk of rapid smoke spread through the building. We also require the upgrade of the fire alarm system to a rating of 7.
