The South Taranaki District Council (STDC) proposes to upgrade the water supply servicing the Eltham Town Hall fire pump and sprinkler system, addressing the current limitations in supply capacity. The project area extends from Bridge Street and along Stanners Street in Eltham. While the existing 100-meter cast iron main along Stanners Street (from Bridge Street to the Town Hall) will be retained, approximately 13.3 meters of existing uPVC pipe connecting the cast iron main to the Town Hall’s pump house will be decommissioned and replaced with DN180 PE100 SDR11/PN16 polyethylene pipe.

The new water main will be installed using an open trenching method, adapted to suit site conditions. The scope of work includes the supply and installation of DN180 pipework, complete with all required valves and fittings. Additional deliverables include road reinstatement, restoration of pavement markings, replacement of footpath pavers, pressure testing, commissioning, and the provision of as-built records and componentisation documentation to support asset management and future maintenance.

This tender has been awarded. Total spend value $ 165,638.

Subject: Contract 25/36 Stanners St., Eltham Water Supply Pipe Renewal
I am pleased to formally advise that your proposal for the above contract has been accepted for
the sum of $165,638.00 (One Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Eight Dollars),
exclusive of GST. This amount is determined in accordance with the unit rates specified in the
Schedule of Prices and the estimated quantities therein.
For your information, you are only the sole tenderer for this Contract.
In accordance with the Conditions of Contract, you are advised of the following:
 Engineer to the Contract: Kobus Van der Merwe
 Engineer’s Representative: Harold Ramas
Two (2) sets of the Contract Documents will be forwarded to you for execution. Kindly ensure
that both sets are duly signed and returned to our office prior to commencement of the works.
Upon completion of execution by the Principal, one (1) set will be returned to you for your records.
The date for possession of the site will be advised by the Engineer’s Representative. This date
will not be prior to the signing and return of the Contract Document, submission of TMP and CAR,
Evidence of Insurances, Quality Plan and Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan. Work may not
commence until these formalities have been accomplished and received by the Engineer’s
Representative.
