We are seeking to engage the services of an experienced Vehicle Tow Operator to assist the Council with the removal and/or storage and/or disposal of Abandoned Vehicles within the South Taranaki District. This service will be required Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00 am - 5.00 pm.
The successful Vehicle Tow Operator will have had previous experience with similar operations. They must maintain the required timeframes of the removal of Abandoned Vehicles alongside the Council's Compliance Team.
The Council has the responsibility under the Local Government Act 1974 and Roading Bylaw 2014 to remove or dispose of abandoned vehicles. Vehicles are either abandoned or illegally parked whereby the Council has a responsibility to abate the nuisance by removal of such vehicles as required. In-line with the Local Government Act 1974 the vehicle is either, stored, sold or disposed of.
