Environment Southland (ES) routinely collects water samples from rivers, lakes, wetlands,
estuaries, groundwater, and the coast as part of State of the Environment (SoE) and
regulatory monitoring programmes which are carried out by most regional and unitary
councils across New Zealand. The water samples collected as part of these programmes
require analysis for a wide range of physical, chemical and microbiological variables. As
SoE data is used in temporal trend analysis, maintaining consistency in all aspects of
sample analysis is critical.
ES invite tenders for the provisions of laboratory services for the analysis of such water quality
samples.
