In 2024 we want to procure a new ultra high performance liquid chromatography (uHPLC) instrument with fraction collector, and have it installed and commissioned on site in Rotorua.

Our uHPLC capability is an important piece of equipment in our laboratory facilities at Scion and without it we would be unable to deliver projects that give value for New Zealanders.

Scion is a Crown Research Institute (CRI), which is a government-owned company that carries out scientific research for the benefit of New Zealand. We specialise in research, science and technology development for forestry, wood and wood-derived materials and other biomaterial sectors.
