This Registration of Interest (ROI) seeks submissions from suitable main contractor construction companies who are able to offer Commercial Interior Fitout Services to meet the Crown’s requirements for the fitout of new office accommodation within Christchurch’s Central Business District (CBD) as part of the Christchurch Integrated Government Accommodation (CIGA) programme.
The CIGA programme encompasses the fitout of commercial office space within four buildings that are currently under development. Each development constitutes its own project and is lead by a nominated Government Agency.
The Landlord for each building (project) has engaged a main ‘base building’ contractor to develop the building structure to a open plan shell with building services (in-ceiling services ) installed to meet the tenant’s layout.
Procurement Process: Respondents are invited to submit responses in the format prescribed by this ROI. Following the closing date of the ROI a shortlist of suppliers may be selected and invited to submit a comprehensive proposal (tender) for one or more of the CIGA fitout projects.
The extent of this process is a single consolidated ROI that spans the four fitout contracts that make up the CIGA programme. It is important to note that the second stage of the procurement process will be subject to the requirements of each of the four individual projects. For the second stage, each of the four projects may select a shortlist of main contractors and progress to RFP stage.
Shortlisted suppliers will be briefed on the second stage process prior to the RFP release.
It must be noted that for each of the four development projects, the Crown has the ability to negotiate directly to enter into a contract with the base build main contractor.
Please note: A contractor who is shortlisted to tender for a project may not be precluded from being shortlisted to tender for any other of the fitout contracts.
