Overview

This RFP is for the short-listed companies that have registered their interest for CON 25/43 and CON 25/44.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping New Zealand’s southernmost community to have more affordable energy and a more robust electricity generation and distribution network.

This RFP relates to the Solar PV/BESS 11 kV underground cable connection circuits, their connection into the existing network, upgrading both the HV and LV electricity distribution network and installing smart meters. It is part of a wider programme of works that are a once in a generation chance for the right contractor to assist in maximising the long-term benefits for a small but vibrant community.

Known work – the completion of an 11kV ring main for the Oban feeder’ the upgrade of the 11kV spur line to Ringa Ringa, and the deployment of smart meters to replace all existing meters.

Additional work – the contractor will need to undertake a thorough assessment of the distribution network and use the information gained to significantly improve the level of asset information held, particularly for the LV network. The assessment will also be used by the contractor to identify and prioritise a programme of capital and maintenance works, for discussion with the Council, that will improve both the resilience and management of the network. The approved capital works programme will then be undertaken by the contractor.

Please submit two documents - non-priced and priced (no prices to be listed in the non-priced document please).
