This contract is for the repair of sections of the wastewater network in the township of Balfour, Southland.

This network has problems with inflow and infiltration (I&I) particularly in the winter months when the ground water table rises as well as following heavy rain. The WWTP is programmed for upgrade in the next 2-5 years and reducing this flow is a priority for Southland District Council to allow for a more cost-effective plant upgrade. The goal of this contract is to reduce the I&I in the network and outcomes are prioritised.
