Southland District Council is looking for Suppliers who can supply and install new signage around schools within the district. There are 37 schools that have been identified that require speed advisory signs as part of Southland District Council's Speed Management Programme (SMP). The Works need to be completed by 30 June 2024.
The project is limited to signage to be installed within the SMP to allow for the implementation of the approved proposed speed limits, this entails:
• supply and installation of static signs at schools
• installation of electronic signs at schools as supplied by Southland District Council
• traffic management
• utilities location and any required investigations
• cover signs until the speed management adoption date
• uncover static signs on the Speed Management Plan adoption date (1 July 2024).
The award of the Contract is subject to the Principal's confirmation that Southland District Council’s Speed Management Plan has been adopted by Council and approved by NZTA. The scope of the Contract Works may also vary depending on the final adopted SMP.
Award to the preferred tenderer would be conditional on the preferred tenderer confirming they will be able to complete the finalised scope of quantities by 30 June 2024 (excluding uncovering signs).
