The purpose of this Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) is to invite interested parties to register their interest, by way of an expression of interest (EOI), in providing services for Southland District Council streetlight and public lighting maintenance contract. Following the submissions and evaluation of the REOI's a closed Request for Tender will be undertaken with selected suppliers.
Council is requesting expressions of interest for a fixed-term contract to manage and maintain the streetlight and public lighting assets within Council’s territorial area. This fixed term contract will be fixed for three years, with the possibility of two additional two-year contract extensions. The
total potential contract term is seven years.
The majority of these works shall include reactive maintenance of Council's lighting network. This shall include the maintenance of all carriageway lighting, walkway lighting, belisha beacons, floodlighting, illuminated signs, unmetered amenity lighting, verandah lighting and lighting structures within the Southland District Council territorial area, owned by Southland District Council and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency. The value of works is estimated at $180,000 to $200,000 per year.
Additionally, this contract could include small streetlighting capital projects. These capital projects will be captured in an Annual Works Programme which will be determined by the Contractor and the Engineer and will be awarded as variations to the contract.
