Eastern Bush Otahu Flat Water Treatement Plant

To Provide Professional Engineering services for design, supply, construction, installation and
commissioning of the Eastern Bush Otahu Flat Water Treatment Plant Upgrade and to
pre-qualify successful participants for a subsequent Request for Tender process.

An upgrade of the water treatment process is required as the water supplied does not
currently meet the Drinking-water Standards for New Zealand 2005 (Revised 2008).
Upon completion the upgraded water treatment plant will supply water that meets the
Drinking- water Standards for New Zealand 2005 (Revised 2008) for a log 4 credit
treatment plant. The maximum required flow rate of treated water per day from the plant
is approximately 1000 m3/day.

Potentially a microfiltration plant is a suitable solution for treatment of the raw water,
however other treatment options will also be considered.

The contracted firm will be required to provide engineering design, construction,
installation and commissioning of the potable water treatment plant upgrade including;
the water treatment plant and building, plant back flush waste disposal and online
monitoring, control and reporting to the SDC reporting system. The location of the water
treatment plant is to be confirmed, however the proposed site is included in the appendix
of this document.
