We understand social service providers seek the support of external advisors when applying for funding. The purpose of this session is to support the market with information to better assist providers preparing for the Social Investment Fund.
The Social Investment Agency is planning to open the Social Investment Fund for round one investments in August.
All investments will use an evaluation method chosen specifically to demonstrate the social investment approach - a high-quality evaluation with data available for social service providers to support their reach and understanding of the populations they serve.
This supplier briefing is to provide information to the market on the approach, to support the market when engaging with social service providers applying to the Social Investment Fund.
It will cover our requirements for data sharing, evaluation and the high-level process. It will also cover the role and requirements of SROI reporting. The briefing will be held on Friday 25 July. To register for this briefing please email engage@sia.govt.nz
More detailed information will be released at the end of July and beginning of August, and more detailed sessions will be available to social service providers and the market when the fund is open throughout August and September.
In year one of the Social Investment Fund, our priority is to demonstrate social investment in practice. We've developed a clear approach that we will work with all successful applicants to apply to their unique settings - this ensures consistency while we establish what social investment looks like in action. While we recognise each provider brings unique strengths and contexts, this common approach helps us learn systematically from each funding round. We'll iterate and refine our methods with each round of the fund as we continue to build evidence of what works.
