Southern DHB is seeking to appoint a Lead Construction Contractor for the Lakes District Hospital Upgrade. This Registration of Interest is the first stage of a two stage selection process; Suppliers must submit a response to be considered for the second stage (Request for Proposals).

With the rapid expansion of the Southern Lakes District area and increased demand on emergency services based at Lakes District Hospital, Southern DHB is upgrading the existing building space to safely manage increased patient demand.
In order for the hospital to continue to operate the upgrade is designed in two stages;
1. Stage One
a. New CT Scanner room
b. New Emergency Department Building
c. District Nurses Refurbishment
2. Stage Two
a. Refurbishment of Existing Emergency Department
b. Family & Whanau Room Refurbishment
c. Outpatients Refurbishment
d. Reception and Administration Refurbishment
