One of the buildings shared a party wall with the Paper Plus building (243 Broadway) along approximately half its length. This wall required reinforcement when the building was removed, so steel beams were installed to ensure its structural integrity. However, other works are required to enable a Code Compliance Certificate to be issued for the demolition, including sealing of the party wall to prevent water ingress.

The demolition works stalled, and with the Stratford District Council (Council) recently purchasing the vacant land to provide public open space, Council has agreed to complete the necessary works.

The Contractor shall carry out the following works, but is not limited to:
 Site Establishment – Set up and maintenance of site fences
 Water blasting the party wall
 Mechanically removing any loose and flaking paint
 Spot priming bare concrete with pigmented sealer
 Fill minor cracks with flexible sealer
 Apply 2 x coats of Resene Aquashield, colou
