This contract is for the disposal of municipal solid waste.
The successful contractor will be contracted to dispose of solid waste from Ruapehu District on behalf of the Council (the "Contract Works"). The Contractor is to provide:
A fully consented disposal facility/facilities that will be available to receive Ruapehu District Council's solid waste for the full term of the contract (nominally ten years from 1 October 2020).
Access to the disposal facility/facilities by Ruapehu District Council and its contractors for the purpose of disposal of solid waste.
For clarity, the terms 'Disposal" and 'Disposal Facility" have the meanings as defined under the Waste Minimisation Act 2008.
Note: The above list of services is provided for the purposes of response to this RFT. The Council reserves the right to include or exclude any service, or change any service configuration,
in any subsequent tender process.
