Overview
The Reserve Bank invites suitably qualified organisations to submit an Expression of Interest to acquire the Bank's security settlement and depository business, NZClear.
In November 2014 the Bank completed a strategic review of the payment and settlement systems it operates. The review concluded that the Bank should continue to operate the ESAS payment system in-house, and seek an alternative provider to NZClear in accordance with the Bank’s vision, principles and requirements for security settlement and depository services.
