Rangitikei District Council (RDC) 3 Waters and Civil Structures Renewals and Capital Projects for 25-26.
RDC is proposing to go to market shortly for the construction of the larger 3 Waters and civil structures projects for this construction season that will be tendered. RDC would like to invite suitably qualified and experienced contractors to attend a supplier briefing. This briefing will provide more detail for the projects proposed and outline the process that RDC is intending. RDC is looking to complete an ROI process that will cover all projects (or those the contractor is interested in). RDC will use this to create a shortlist of contractors to invite to tender for each project. RDC is provisionally looking to award in October with installation timing by negotiation with varying degrees of flexibility. All work is envisioned to be completed by 30th of June 2026.
The general overview of projects is:
1.5km of 180 PE watermain replacement. This may include formation, along a portion of it, of a new walkway as part of reinstatement.
3 x Pipe bridges (14 m, 20 m and 30 m spans) with associated piling and pipeline connections.
150m of 525 mm NB RRJRC of stormwater pipe. Mostly through residential private property and with a stream outfall structure.
300m of 1,200mm NB RRJRC of stormwater pipe. Mostly in road carriageway.
300m of 300mm NB stormwater pipe in private property/paddocks.
130m of 150mm NB sewer replacement.
400m of 200mm NB new sewer to place mainline on new alignment. This may include directional drilling on grade for a 60-80m section.
The supplier briefing will be held on Tuesday the 5th of August at 10am. The venue will be the Council Chambers at 46 High St, Marton. This briefing will be followed by morning tea.
