Rangitikei District Council are requesting tenders from selected contractors to supply and install renewals on three sections of water network in Taihape.

The work includes 257m of 180mm PE pipe in the road carriageway and reserve on Titi and Swan streets. This also includes service connections, replacement hydrants, valves and connections.

As a separable portion there is 466m of 280mm PE pipe through private property mainly as farmland. This area has sections of steep terrain. An alternative refurbishment/lining system is being considered for this section but if this proceeds the work will be completed as a nominated subcontractor and will be managed by the main contractor.
