Overview

PHARMAC is interested in considering any proposal from suppliers of evaluation and research services to provide qualitative and quantitative research with primary healthcare professionals, looking at their preferences for the format, frequency, and types of information and education material they receive. PHARMAC is also interested in understanding how primary healthcare professionals would like to access this information and/or have it delivered to them.
It is anticipated that the qualitative research component, i.e. interviews and/or focus groups, will help to inform the quantitative research, i.e. survey/structured questionnaire.
Both the qualitative and quantitative components of the research, including final reports, will need to be completed by early April 2015.
In particular, PHARMAC is interested in the following types of services:
• Development of appropriate interview and/or focus group schedules to elicit ideas and suggestions from healthcare professionals;
• Delivery and management of interviews and/or focus groups;
• Synthesis of interview feedback into the development of appropriate survey or structured questionnaire format;
• Delivery and management of survey or structured questionnaire;
• Appropriate engagement and liaison with healthcare professionals in primary care including general practitioners, pharmacists and practice nurses.
