Pharmac invites proposals for the supply of Isolation/Protective Gowns to Health New Zealand | Health NZ (“Health NZ”) hospitals.
This RFP is stage two of the wider personal protective equipment (PPE) procurement process released on 23 May 2024. A submitter who was notified by Pharmac that its ROI has been accepted was eligible to participate in the opportunity to be selected for a panel of suppliers for the “Gowns and Aprons”, and “Masks” categories.
On 21 January 2025, Pharmac released a request for proposals for the supply of gowns, aprons and masks (“RFx ID: 30900426”). RFx ID: 30900426 closed on Monday 3 March 2025 and proposals for isolation/protective gowns were received. Following the initial analysis, we obtained key information on isolation/protective gowns we did not have prior to the release of RFx ID: 30900426 .
To ensure the supply of appropriate isolation/protective gowns to Health NZ, we have updated the required product specifications and standards and are providing suppliers the opportunity to revise or submit a proposal for isolation/protective gowns that have met the updated requirements. Suppliers that proposed to supply isolation/protective gowns in the ROI and were notified by Pharmac that its ROI has been accepted, are eligible to participate in this RFP. This RFP is solely in relation to the supply of isolation/protective gowns. We will not consider new or updated proposals for the other medical devices in scope of RFx ID: 30900426.
If you wish to submit a proposal, you must submit it to Pharmac no later than 12:00 p.m. on 16 April 2025 via the Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS).
