We need a builder(s) of ‘spec homes’ who will work with us to agree standard home plans and have the ability to build quickly in locations all round NZ.
The NZ real estate market is such that homes are difficult to buy and even more so at reasonable prices. Oranga Tamariki wants to build homes at reasonable pace and costs.
Oranga Tamariki works with iwi, mana whenua and local community groups not only to ensure we provide ‘services’ that are fit for purpose but also to acknowledge the Māori culture of NZ and the important part it plays in our day to day lives. We really do want to create lasting partnerships that support the tamariki and rangatahi of NZ and help them grow into happy, healthy and confident members of the NZ society. This RFP is about finding a spec builder(s) who is an awesome ‘construction master’ and who shares similar values and cultural aspirations and can confidently demonstrate both aspects.
We will secure the services of a nationwide provider(s) to work alongside Oranga Tamariki to provide suitable homes, in suitable timeframes to agreed quality and standards. It is important that you share our values and commitment to providing homes for the tamariki and rangatahi of NZ. We actively support Government Broader Outcomes and expect you to demonstrate your support for these too.
