Overview

Oranga Tamariki is seeking to engage with experts within the sexual violence sector, who are currently working with children and young people who are victims of sexual violence to collaboratively develop crisis and recovery support.

This Opportunity to Engage is an invitation from Oranga Tamariki for providers to nominate Applicant(s) with senior specialist practice experience, working with children and young people who are victims/survivors of sexual violence to apply to be a member of a working group and/or online forum. There are seven working groups and associated online forum topics set out below and there is no limit to how many you can nominate an Applicant for.

- Therapeutic crisis support and recovery good practice, that is reflective of neurological development and professionalised
- Disability sector
- Sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics
- Māori within a non-Māori context
- Migrant communities
- Pasifika
- Psychosocial support pre and post a court process for children and young people
Please note there is a separate approach being taken for Māori by Māori design of service guidelines. We are working with key government agencies to enable a whānau centered approach. We will seek representation for this design work at a later date.
