Otago Regional Council’s Engineering Team is planning changes to how vegetation and pest plants are managed on flood protection and drainage assets in Taieri, Tokomairiro, and Lower Clutha.

We intend to procure term contracts for East Taieri, West Taieri, and Lower Clutha (including Tokomairiro), seeking experienced contractors to assess, design, apply, and review agrichemical control programmes.

We’re looking for providers with technical expertise and innovative approaches to improve effectiveness and sustainability of vegetation and pest plant management.

Contracts are expected to run for 2–3 years with possible extensions (e.g. 1+1+1 or 2+1).

This is only a future procurement opportunity to provide a heads-up to the market.
