The Controller and Auditor-General (the “Auditor-General”) is an Officer of Parliament whose role is to assist Parliament in its scrutiny of executive government, and to strengthen the effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability of public sector organisations.

The Auditor-General is proposing to establish a panel of audit firms (‘Supplementation Panel’) that are able to provide suitably qualified audit staff, on a temporary, ‘as required’ basis, to work alongside Audit New Zealand staff carrying out annual audit work.

The Auditor-General invites applications from audit firms that wish to be appointed to the Supplementation Panel.
