ADVANCE NOTICE

World Expo 2020 will take place in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, from October 2020 to April 2021. This is the first World Expo to take place in the Middle East, Africa or South Asia and will be the biggest Expo to date with an estimated 25 million visitors expected to attend. The Government has agreed that New Zealand will be attending Expo 2020.

Expo 2020 takes place from October 2020 to April 2021 and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, will be calling for interested suppliers to join the Expo team and deliver the following services to design, construct and operate a pavilion to showcase New Zealand:

• Architecture and design services
• Creative direction
• Visitor experience and ‘journey’ design
• Exhibition design
• Multimedia and digital technology
• Quantity surveying
• Construction
• Operating services such as event management, food and beverage and security
