1. The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) invites Registration of Interest (ROI) from pre-qualified and experienced contractors wishing to tender for the SH22 Paerata Rd / Crown Rd Improvements project.

2. The Works will to be carried out under NZTA’s measure and value contract model.

3. The scope of works comprises of construction of a left turn lane out of Crown Road for trucks, intersection improvements and the installation of a U-turn facility to resolve a safety concern.

4. The works include but are not limited to traffic management, environmental management, earthworks, kerb and channel construction, pavement construction, storm water drainage, quality assurance testing, signage, road marking, working on or near KiwiRail land, including the widening of a level crossing, and production of associated construction documentation.

5. It is envisaged that the contract will be awarded in early February 2015, with physical works commencing thereafter and completion by the end of March 2015.

6. ROI are welcomed from contractors who holds NZTA prequalification levels of 4A and with experience in the delivery of infrastructure projects within rail corridors.

7. ROI submission closes at 4:00pm on Wednesday 21 January 2015.

8. ROI involves submitting a single A4 page letter, in response to this advertisement, advising company/consortium and contact details.

9. Final Tendering of the contract will be by invitation to appropriately qualified contractors registered through this ROI process.
