It is intended to invite tenders from experienced roading contractors for Contract CN3945 Akerama Realignment and Passing RP 215/14.86 – 233/0.31.
The contract is for construction of a 3.1km section of state highway 30km north of Whangarei on SH 1. The project extends from north of Barnes Road to just south of Rusk Road.
The main scope of work involves road realignment of 9 back-to-back curves with 3 large radius curves, the construction of a 1.69km southbound passing lane and a 550m extension of the existing northbound passing lane. The work includes approximately 330,000 cubic metres of earthworks, drainage works including settlement monitoring, 3.1km of pavement construction and surfacing.
ROI’s are welcomed from contractors who hold NZTA prequalification levels of 4A, with the proven experience in the delivery of roading infrastructure projects.
