This is a Physical Works contract for the rockfall mitigation, drainage improvements, and slope stabilisation treatments at site along SH5 between Cromwell and Kingston.

The Contract Works comprise of:

•Earthworks/Geotechnical works including:
Vegetation clearance and access preparation
Slope scaling and removal of loose material
Installation of mesh drapery systems
Rock bolting and anchoring
Slope stabilisation works
Slip remediation works
Slope regrading

•Pavement and Surfacing;
•Structures including demolition of existing gabion baskets and construction of new geogrid reinforced gabion walls;
•Drainage including culverts, counterfort drainage systems, inclined drains and subsoil drains;
•Markings and Signage;
•Road Safety Barriers;
•Landscaping

Only tenderers pre-qualified to levels ‘Bridge & Structure Construction’ – Level C (3C), ‘Construction’ – Level C (4C), and ‘Geotechnical Services’ – Level C (5C) under the terms of the Transport Agency’s Prequalification System are eligible to submit a tender.

All responses to tender queries/clarifications will be answered by Notice to Tenderer which will be available in the GETS addenda.

Tender submissions shall be uploaded to GETS eTender box in two separate files.

The GETS file upload limit is 50MB. The files should be labelled:

• Contract Number - File No 1 - Supplier Company Name - Proposal excluding Price
• Contract Number - File No 2 - Supplier Company Name - Price (pdf format PLUS excel spreadsheet Schedule of Prices)
