Deliver chip sealing across approximately 89 lane kilometres on State Highways 6, 94, 95 and 97 in the Northern Southland / Milford Road area. 

This is a Physical Works contract for chip sealing in Southland and Milford.

The key components of the Contract Works will comprise:
a. Resurfacing State Highway sites across State Highways 6, 94, 95, 97 in the northern Southland / Milford Road area.  
b. Supply of materials, plant and labour to construct various types of surfacing including (but not limited to) chipseal, with emulsion, polymer modified emulsion. 
c. Delivery of the Contract Works in accordance with the Specifications, including NZTA P04: 2025 Specification for Resealing and 2005 guidance from “Chipsealing in New Zealand”. 
d. Sweeping and pavement marking, with reflectorised paint. 
e. Replacement raised reflectorised pavement markers (RRPM’s). 
f. Supply of information for AWM inventory updates. 
g. Supply of texture measurements and chip retention results prior to the end of the Defects Notification Period. 
h. Pavement and surfacing (materials, manufacturing and construction processes) 
i. Any associated road closures, diversions, or associated temporary works 
j. Environmental, social, cultural, and heritage features and consideration 
k. Relationship considerations primarily for coordination and access with the Milford Road Alliance.
l. Maintenance responsibilities (refer to PSF15 in Appendices) 

Only tenderers pre-qualified to level 2 A and B under the terms of the Transport Agency’s Prequalification System are eligible to submit a tender.

All responses to tender queries/clarifications will be answered by Notice to Tenderer which will be available in the GETS addenda.

Tender submissions shall be uploaded to GETS eTender box in two separate files.
The GETS file upload limit is 50MB. The files should be labelled:
