This contract is for the delivery of the SH76 Brougham Street Corridor Improvements Project, an urban corridor upgrade within the Roads of Regional Significance (RoRS) programme. The works include pavement and surfacing improvements, intersection upgrades, enhanced crossings, intelligent transport systems, streetscape works and associated utility coordination, including watermain works delivered on behalf of Christchurch City Council. Given the live urban environment and multiple third-party interfaces, the contract requires a strong focus on staging, traffic management, stakeholder coordination, and minimising disruption to road users, businesses, and the community.
The contract has been classified under NZTA’s Prequalification System as Surfacing – Level A (2A) and Construction – Level A (4A). Tenderers must hold the required NZTA prequalification levels to be eligible to tender. In addition, watermain works must be undertaken by a contractor approved under CCC’s Three Waters Physical Works Panel, and the Orion 66kV utility crossing works must be completed by an Orion prequalified 66kV contractor.
Electronic copies of the RFT documentation are attached to this advertisement.
All tenderer’s queries are to be submitted through the GETS Questions and Answers. Any queries that fall outside of the formal Q&A and that require urgent attention, must be directed to NZTA’s point of contact, as stated in the main RFT document.
All responses to tender queries/clarifications will be answered by Notice to Tenderer which will be available in the GETS addenda.
