This Direct Appointment Physical Works Construction Contract is for SH31 – Waikato/Taranaki Region – Emergency Works - Puti Bluffs Underslip 09/10

The Scope of the Contract is as described below:
a. The remediation of the Slippage repairs located at SH31.
b. The Contract Works comprises of: removing any excess soil while reshaping and compacting the embankment to a suitable grade (1:2 or 1:1.5). The slope have erosion protection matting placed on the surface and will be pinned to the soil. Construction of rockfill walls and drainage.
c. Hydroseeding and Coconut matting where required.
d. Clearing existing shrubs and vegetation including horticulturist.
e. The existing shoulder of the road to be remediated to suit the existing pavement structure.
f. Reinstatement of existing road pavement to suit the existing pavement type.
