NZTA is seeking professional services to carry out a Social Impact Assessment (SIA) for the RoNS Mill Road Alfriston to Drury project. It is expected that the SIA will commence in early 2026 to allow sufficient time for meaningful assessment to inform the Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) in May, and the development of an Emerging Preferred Option.

The SIA aims to: 
1. Identify and assess potential social impacts (positive, neutral, negative). 
2. Provide evidence-based input supporting NZTA investment case processes. 
3. Evaluate distributional impacts across different communities. 
4. Assess social risks and develop mitigation strategies. 
5. Support engagement and ensure community and Māori views are integrated. 
6. Provide clear recommendations to minimise adverse impacts and enhance social value outcomes.
