The high-level scope of the works to be undertaken as part of the Main Works package includes:
• Construction of an open plan designed, station building and bus driver facility including amenities, retail areas, internal and external fittings and furnishes.
• Installation of all bus station hard infrastructure including kerb & channel, traffic islands, tactiles, speed tables, drains, ticketing and charging bollards.
• Concrete and asphalt pavement construction including access road, layover area, platforms, footpaths and the plaza forecourt.
• Placement of a barrier system on top of the retaining wall that was constructed as part of the Enabling Works package.
• Installation of permanent fencing for the site.
• Undertake all remaining utility construction for connections station building and services.
• Installation of all traffic signs and markings within the station site.
• Modifications to Gunton Drive including traffic signal upgrades, traffic signs and markings installation, kerb and channel, footpath and surfacing renewal.
• Installation of street lighting, CCTV and other features necessary to achieve a safe environment within the station.
• Provision of landscaping including planting, topsoil and hydroseeding (where necessary).
• Installation of placemaking items and wayfinding to enhance the look and feel of Westgate Station.   
• Compliance with all Consenting requirements including the project specific Building Consent and Resource Consent conditions.
