Overview

The scope of this project includes the signalisation of the two ramp terminal intersections
and the exit from the BP services area. Specifically, this includes the following controls:
Signalisation of the BP Services Exit
• Signal control of the 2 x eastbound through lanes
• Signal control of the 1 x westbound through lane
• Signal control of the right turn exit from the BP services area
• Stop control of the left turn exit from the BP services area
Signalisation of the Northbound SH1 offramp
• Signal control of the right turn movement
• Stop control of the left turn movement
Signalisation of the Northbound SH1 onramp
• Signal control of the eastbound through lane
• Signal control of the westbound through lane
• Signal control of the right turn to the onramp for traffic from the east
• Give way control of the left turn to the onramp for traffic from the west
Signalisation of the Northbound SH1 offramp
• Signal control of the eastbound through lane
• Signal control of the 2 x westbound through lanes
• Signal control of the right turn from the offramp
• Stop control of the left turn from the offramp
To accommodate the signalisation, the project scope includes the following:
• Demolition of existing raised islands
• Pavement widening and resurfacing
• Stormwater modifications to realign catchpits with modified kerblines
• Construction of new raised islands and kerbs
• Minor service relocations
• Installation of ducting, loops and signal pits
• Line marking
