This Notice of Information is to inform the market of the intended procurement of Contract Management professional services to support NZUP South Auckland Package (SAP).
The NZUP South Auckland Package (SAP) investment consists of transport network improvements, which will be delivered as a programme of works consisting of several individual projects to support and achieve the objectives. These projects include:
a) Manukau to Takanini Access and Safety Improvements (MTAS, previously called ‘Mill Road’)
b) Waihoehoe Road Upgrade – on behalf of Auckland Transport
c) SH22 Urbanisation
d) Paerātā Roundabout – on behalf of KiwiRail
The last three projects above are collectively referred to as the “SAP Drury Projects”.
Further to the previous NOI information released on 21st February, 3rd April and 12th May 2023 via GETS, the following information is now provided:
• Drury Projects – Contract Management Services:
Scope is expected to include Contract Management services to support the Implementation phase for the “SAP Drury Projects”.
Services required for the contract will include Engineer to Contract and Engineer’s Representative responsibilities under NZS3910. Engineer’s Representative Assistant/s will also be required.
The RFP will focus and appointment of Contract Management services to support the Implementation phase of the Paerātā Roundabout project, with the objective to extend the services to the Waihoehoe Road Upgrade and SH22 Urbanisation projects subject to the Consultants performance and approvals to proceed.
The SQA services are intended to be provided by the Pre-implementation/SQA supplier for each individual project.
Pre-implementation and SQA suppliers for the individual “Drury” projects are excluded from tendering for these Contract Management services.
This RFP is expected to be released to market Monday 17th July 2023.
• An RFP industry briefing has been tentatively scheduled for Thursday 27th June 2023 at 10am via Teams. Parties interested in attending the briefing are required to email the Procurement Process Manager: Marice Jackson at marice@connectil.co.nz before midday on 26th June 2023. The email should include the names of the attendees and their respective email addresses. Attendance is restricted to two persons per organisation.
The release of this NOI is not a commitment that the RFP’s will be issued to market.
