Overview:
This Notice of Information (NOI) is to provide project information ahead of the tender which will be advertised in late May 2021 with an anticipated contract commencement in mid-July 2021.
This NOI is provided as an early indication only of the project scope and will not form part of any future tender documents or contract documents.
The Mangaotama Stream Bridge (BSN 330) is located on SH39 approximately 11 km north of Pirongia. The bridge was constructed circa 1961 and comprises a composite single span (15.2m) reinforced concrete deck with castellated steel girders on piled abutments. The contract works involves replacement of the existing superstructure with a new composite concrete deck and steel girder superstructure on the existing foundations.
Key points are -
1. The works are intended to utilise full lane closures with an early completion bonus incentivising reduced traffic disruption.
2. The Engineer’s Estimate is likely to be in the range of $0.80M - $1.1M.
3. Contractors must be pre-qualified to “Bridge Construction – Level A (3A)” level.
4. The works will likely involve some temporary works design by the Contractor.
