Overview

The ASM Maintenance Alliance is seeking statements of interest and ability (SIA) from subcontractors and suppliers to maintain the Auckland State Highway network.

The Auckland State Highway network is currently maintained by the Auckland Motorway Alliance (AMA). The current agreement with the Transport Agency to deliver these services ends on 30 June 2019. The new Alliance will commence delivery of services on the network on 1st July 2019 for a 9-year term.

The key components of the subcontract and supplier services will comprise:
SUBCONTRACTS
• Temporary Traffic Management
• Road Safety Barrier Systems installation and maintenance/repairs
• Vegetation control and landscaping
• Vacuum sweeping/captive water-blasting
• Graffiti removal services
• Streetlighting hardware (luminaires and columns)
• Drain clearing and hydro-excavation
• Sign installation
• Environmental services
• Protective coatings for structures
SUPPLIERS
• Sign supplies
• Barrier system hardware supply
• Transport technology supply
• Lighting
• Environmental hardware suppliers

Subcontractors and material suppliers not listed above, will be procured by the Alliance as and when required, in the traditional manner and therefore we are not seeking an SIA submissions from those Subcontractors and suppliers.

This SIA process seeks non-price attributes from suppliers (compliance with relevant standards and track record) and subcontractors (capability, capacity and people). This is in the form of a short questionnaire detailed in the SIA.

Following this SIA process, the Alliance will then engage with short-listed Subcontractors and Suppliers to price subcontract works and supplies.

The completed questionnaire should be uploaded to the GETS eTender box, which involves submitting a single file (pdf format) A4 page letter. The file should be labelled as: “2019179 ASM Maintenance Alliance SIA Subcontractors and Suppliers”

Subcontractors and Suppliers should refer to the GETS website for instructions on uploading their ROI files https://www.gets.govt.nz/SupplierUserTenderHelp.htm.

An industry briefing will be held at 2pm, 16 April 2019 at Karstens, Room-401, Level 4, 205 Queen St, Auckland CBD. The purpose of this briefing is to outline the detail of the process and answer any questions applicants may have.
Due to limited capacity at the venue, attendees are limited to 2 per organisation. Please send any RSVP’s for the briefing to Belinda.King@nzta.govt.nz by 4pm, Friday 12 April 2019.
