The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) invites Registration of Interest (ROI) from experienced engineering design consultancies wishing to submit a tender for the SH1 SeaPath project’s pre-implementation (detailed design and consenting) and implementation (MSQA) phases.
The project includes a new 4km shared walking and cycling path on the lower North Shore from Northcote Point to Esmonde Road, Takapuna. SeaPath will connect at Northcote Point with the planned Auckland Harbour Bridge (AHB) Shared Path Project to link across the Waitemata Harbour. Both the AHB Shared Path and SeaPath projects have different histories, construction challenges and timelines, but will need to work closely with each other to ensure consistency of user experience.
The professional services will be carried out under the NZTA’s traditional (design–bid–construct) delivery model, and include the required planning, consenting, land requirements, geotechnical investigation, urban design, stakeholder and public liaison, detailed design and supervision of construction works.
This ROI involves submitting a single A4 page letter, in response to this advertisement, advising the individual company or consortia, and details of your assigned point of contact.
ROI close on Wednesday 10th April 2019 at 4:00pm and should be uploaded to the GETS eTender box. Tenderers should refer to the GETS website for instructions on uploading their tender file. (https://www.gets.govt.nz/SupplierUserTenderHelp.htm).
NZTA reserves the right to shortlist applicants through a Statement of Interest and Ability (SIA) process if the number of registered parties makes this necessary.
The submission of tenders for this contract will be by invitation to companies and consortia registered through this ROI process and shortlisted through the SIA (if necessary); the tender will not be re-advertised publicly.
