The Transport Agency invites Registration of Interest (ROI) from Transport Agency prequalified and experienced contractors and consortia wishing to tender for the safety retrofit works on State Highway 2 between Trig Road (Waihi) and Omokoroa Road as a primary supplier.
The two staged tender process will include short listing via a Statement of Interest and Ability (SIA), and will result in two (2) physical works contracts being awarded, each with a value of approximately $24m, and the potential of additional $12m (Total) based on performance.
The contract scope includes;
a. customer, stakeholder and design team engagement
b. utility services relocations and protection
c. civil works, including; earthworks, retaining structures, drainage, pavement and surfacing
d. traffic services including; flexible and semi-rigid safety barriers, signs and pavement marking
It is envisaged that both 2018531 Contract 2 (Katikati North) and 2018532 Contract 3 (Katikati South), will be awarded by Tuesday 18 December 2018
Only contractors or consortia who hold prequalification 4A, and that have, or have within their consortia, a 2C surfacing prequalification in the terms of the Highways and Network Operations (HNO) Prequalification System are eligible to submit a ROI and enter the subsequent SIA process.
The ROI submission closes 4:00pm, Thursday 6 September 2018
ROI involves submitting a single A4 page letter advising;
a. company / consortium names
b. contact details
c. pre-qualification status
Further steps of the procurement process will be by invitation to contractor or consortia registered through the ROI process, the contracts will not be advertised publicly
ROI submissions will only be accepted electronically via the GETS eTender Box which involves submitting a single file (pdf format) A4 page letter. The file should be labelled as ‘SH2 Waihi to Omokoroa - Katikati North and South ROI’
