NZ Transport Agency invites Registration of Interest (ROI) from prequalified and experienced contractors wishing to submit a proposal for the SH58 Safety Improvements Project.
This is a traditional measure and value model physical works contract for the delivery of the SH58 Safety Improvements project, located on State Highway 58 approximately 20Km North East of Wellington. The project is expected to reduce fatal and serious crashes and road closures, as well as improving the performance of the network. Parts of the site are highly constrained by poor access, steep terrain and the narrow existing highway.
Key elements of the Contract Works may include earthworks, drainage, bridging, Roading, landscape and restoration planting. The contract is expected to be delivered in two (2) separable Portions. Separable Portion 1 - Haywards to Mt Cecil Road, and Separable Portion 2 - Mt Cecil Road to Bradey Road. The purpose of the two separable portions is to allow the completion of consenting and detailed design, and further progress on property acquisition prior to awarding Separable Portion 2. It is also expected the contractor will have input into Separable Portion 2 prior to its award to assist minimising risks associated with construction and programming.
Only Contractors pre-qualified to Routine & Minor works 1A, Surfacing 2A, Bridge Construction 3A and Construction 4A under the System Design and Delivery Prequalification for Physical Works process will be eligible to submit a Registration of Interest (ROI) and tender.
Following registration of interest, the Transport Agency will advise on the next stages of the procurement process, which is likely to be by a Request for Tender (RFT).
Tender documents are expected to be made available at the end of July, with tenders closing at the end of August.
The ROI involves submitting a single A4 page letter, in response to this advertisement, advising:
a) Company name;
b) Company contact details; and
c) Transport Agency prequalification status.
