NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) invites Registration of Interest (ROI) from pre-qualified and experienced contractors wishing to tender for the Tauranga Northern Link project.
The Tauranga Northern Link project is a new 6.5km section of state highway that will provide a four lane inter-regional connection between the existing SH2 near Te Puna and the existing Takitimu Drive Toll Road. The route will bypass Te Puna and Bethlehem townships, improving the efficiency and safety of the strategic network. The works include the construction of seven separate bridges and earthworks in the order of 3,000,000 cubic metres, and have an overall expected construction estimate of $200M - $300M. The works include the development of the final design for construction, securing the necessary approvals and permits, supply of all labour materials and plant for the construction of the project to the prescribed standards and conditions.
The Works will be carried out under NZTA’s Design and Construct (D&C) delivery model. It is envisaged that the D&C contract will be awarded in August 2018.
ROI's are welcomed from contractors who hold both NZTA prequalification levels of 3A and 4A and with experience in the delivery of large infrastructure projects using the D&C procurement model of a similar scale to the Tauranga Northern Link project.
ROI submission closes at 4:00pm on Friday 25 August 2017. ROI involves submitting a single A4 page letter, in response to this advertisement, advising company/consortium and contact details, and identifying all key subcontractors and consultants.
ROI submissions are to be uploaded to the GETS eTender box. Note the file upload limit is 50 MB. Tenderers should refer to the GETS website for instructions on uploading their ROI files (https://www.gets.govt.nz/SupplierUserTenderHelp.htm).
NZTA reserves the right to shortlist applicants through a Statement of Interest and Ability (SIA) process if the number of registered parties makes this necessary. Final Tendering of the contract will be by invitation to contractors registered through this ROI process and shortlisted through the SIA (if necessary); the tender will not be re-advertised publicly.
