This Registration of Interest (ROI) is issued by the AMA (Auckland Motorway Alliance) and invites proposals for the supply of 120 Type D Urban Variable Message Signs (VMS) for the display of journey time, these new signs are to replace aging units which have reached the end of life. The Specification is included as Attachment A. The dimensions of the proposed new VMS are given in the Specification. Note that if your standard VMS sizes are marginally outside our specified dimensions you should advise us in writing before the deadline for questions, and at our discretion we may approve them as conforming to our requirements. In such a case we will inform all potential suppliers via Notice to Participant (NTP). Any such Registration outside our specified dimensions that has not been given prior approval by us, will not be considered.
The Registration must also contain allowance for the provision of support for integration into Kapsch's DYNAC traffic management system environment. The purpose of this ROI is to select Participants to enter a Request for Proposal (RFP) process and to ultimately select a Preferred Proposer to enter a contract for the provision of the equipment and services.
Auckland Motorway Alliance is looking for a reputable supplier who has the capability, experience and infrastructure to provide and successfully supply the VMS to our storage facility in Auckland, New Zealand. Suppliers must provide certificate/s of conformity to EN12966: 2014 standard for the proposed product, have a good track record in supply of this type of equipment, technical support and other elements of after sales service. Obtaining best value for money over whole-of-life is a cornerstone of all our procurement activity.
