1. NZ Transport Agency invites Registrations of Interest (ROI) from consultant teams wishing to tender for the Warkworth to Wellsford section of the Ara Tūhono Pūhoi to Wellsford Roads of National Significance RoNS Project.
2. This contract will be for the professional engineering and planning services required to assist the Transport Agency to obtain designation and consents for the RoNS between Warkworth (northern extent of the Puhoi to Warkworth RoNS) in the south and proposed tie in point north of Wellsford. Community and stakeholder liaison activities will be led internally by the Transport Agency. RMA Legal advice will be sought from a separate legal team (currently being procured).
3. The team will generally provide the following expertise, but not be limited to:
• Statutory planning and resource management
• Engineering, including highway, civil engineering and geology/geotechnical
• Traffic modelling and transport planning
• Environmental and social management, technical expertise and assessment
4. The key objective of the Project is to achieve lodgement of the Notice of Requirement and consents in late 2017. A post-lodgement phase will follow with the objective to achieve designation and consents in 2018.
5. ROI’s are welcomed from consultant teams with experience in the delivery of large scale designation and consent projects.
6. Tendering of the contract will be by invitation to consultant teams registered through this ROI process and the tender will not be re-advertised publicly.
7. ROI submission closes at 4pm on 30 August 2016.
8. The Request for Tender (RFT) will be released in late September 2016 to registered teams. In the period between this ROI and the RFT being released, the Transport Agency reserves the right to engage with registered teams to share project knowledge and expectations.
9. ROI involves submitting a single page letter, in response to this advertisement, advising a tendering team (companies involved) and a single point of contact.
