NZTA Contract No: 2/15-011/501
SH1 Cambridge to Piarere Long Term Improvements - Professional Services
The NZ Transport Agency invites Registrations of Interest (ROI) from consortia/consultants wishing to tender their services to undertake the SH1 Cambridge to Piarere Long Term Improvements Professional Services.
Upon full completion of the Waikato Expressway, the increasing conflict between local and through traffic between Cambridge and Piarere on State Highway 1 will likely negatively impact on journey time reliability, increase the safety risk and increase delays in accessing the State Highway network.
The Programme Business Case for the section recommends addressing efficiency (and safety) improvements in the longer term (10+ years). However the Transport Agency wishes to bring forward these long term improvements to minimise exposure to these risks.
An Indicative Business Case (IBC) to confirm the preferred long-term form of the section is required followed by a Detailed Business Case (DBC) to confirm the alignment and form of the preferred solution.
The fees estimate for the IBC and DBC together is likely to be around $3 Million.
The works will include workshops with stakeholders and obtaining the required information to inform the outcomes of the IBC and DBC.
Following the IBC, use of the same consultant for the DBC will be subject to satisfactory performance. The same consideration shall apply to the Pre-Implementation phase.
The contract will be awarded in mid-2016.
ROI are welcomed from consultants with experience in the delivery of large scale business cases and professional services for transport infrastructure.
ROI submission closes at 4.00 pm on Friday 26th February 2016.
ROI involves submitting a single page letter, in response to this advertisement, advising company/consortium and contact details.
The Transport Agency reserves the right to shortlist applicants through a Statement of Interest and Ability process if the number of registered parties makes this necessary.
Final tendering of the contract will be by invitation to those registered through this ROI process and the tender will not be re-advertised publicly.
Written ROI’s are to be lodged with:
