The scope of work includes the design and construction of the Peka Peka to Otaki Expressway, and includes the construction of:
• A four lane expressway (approx. 12.5 kms long) from north of Waitohu Stream to the interface of the Mackays to Peka Peka (M2PP) expressway at Te Kowhai Rd (Peka Peka).
• Grade separated interchanges providing north and south facing connections to Otaki Township
• Grade separated links to the local roading networks
• Realignment of the North Island Main Trunk Line (NIMT) - rail
• Bridges and culverts carrying the expressway over all waterways and secondary flow paths
The works include but are not limited to traffic management, environmental management, earthworks, ground improvements, pavement and surfacing, bridging, retaining walls, traffic services, utility service relocations and protection, new storm water drainage, landscaping and urban design, ecological mitigation, signage, assurance testing, marking and production of associated construction documentation.
It is envisaged that the contract will be awarded in early Quarter 4 2016 calendar year with physical works commencing thereafter.
ROI are welcomed from contractors who hold NZTA prequalification levels of 4A (bridge construction) and 4A (construction) and with experience in the delivery of bridges and infrastructure projects.
ROI involves submitting a single A4 page letter, in response to this advertisement, advising company/consortium and contact details.
Final Tendering of the contract will be by invitation to appropriately qualified contractors registered through this ROI process.
Tender Documents are expected to be made available late March/early April 2016 from the Contracts Administrator, with tender close expected late August/early September 2016.
