The Transport Agency seeks to establish a pre-qualified supplier list for Heavy Vehicle Roller Brake Machine (RBM) training providers.

The Transport Agency is mandated to ensure that systems are in place to ensure all those testing heavy vehicles brakes on a roller brake machines (RBM) are fully trained to use the approved brake testing equipment accurately, fairly and consistently. The Transport Agency has established curriculum requirements for RBM training as part of the Heavy Vehicle Brake Testing –CoF and Entry Certificate Brake Test Protocol and Procedure-Appendix C. The curriculum is required to ensure consistent and reliable testing of braking systems throughout New Zealand. These requirements cover the requirements of the Heavy-vehicles Brake Rule (HVBR) and the Heavy Vehicle Brake Rule implementation plan (HVBRIP).
