Overview:
NZQA is pleased to invite selected suppliers to participate in closed Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development and delivery of an Assessment Capability Support. This initiative supports the strengthening of internal assessment practices in targeted kura and schools, with a strong emphasis on culturally grounded tools and resources. This RFP follows recent Advance Notice seeking expressions of interest.

Objectives:
The key objectives of this procurement are to:

-Lift assessment capability in identified schools and kura
-Co-design and deliver a culturally grounded Assessment Capability Support Package
-Provide practical, ready-to-use tools, templates, and exemplars
-Strengthen assessment practices in preparation for future NCEA qualification changes
-Embed equity and Te Tiriti principles into moderation support, particularly for Māori-medium contexts

Scope of Work:
The successful supplier will be expected to:

-Co-design culturally grounded assessment tools
-Develop exemplars and templates to support assessment practice
-Produce clear and accessible guidance materials
-Support implementation in kura and schools

This work will be undertaken in partnership with Māori education experts and other key stakeholders to ensure authenticity, relevance, and impact.

Submission Instructions:
Proposals must be submitted electronically via GETS by 2PM on 3 October 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
