NZQA is data rich and depends on the quality of its data. Questions regarding NZQA data trustworthiness, latency, lineage, sensitivity, or preparation need to receive assurance easily and promptly. Fundamental elements like security, privacy, usage, access, and data SME’s should be made readily available alongside the knowledge and experience of frequent data users.
NZQA is seeking to procure a data catalogue solution to enable the level of data management that will assist in delivering these elements.
NZQA is currently working to deliver Digital Assessment through NCEA Online. As part of that delivery NZQA wants to ensure the seamless integration of the data received through its online functionality with its historical (and in some areas ongoing) paper-based functionality. NZQA expects the functionality of a procured data catalogue to assist in the delivery of this data integration.
